Logging In

  • Enter your credentials, as you would to log in onto the Paperless app;

    You might need to get clearance from the Paperless Support Team to go further.
  • Click on Log In;
  • In the top menu, click on Web Data Connectors.

The Interface

1. Name of the Database

Allows you to confirm which database you are connected to.

2. Sync Status

While creating connectors, you will have a synchronization process to make sure the data is pulled from the database and created into a raw data format.
The sync may take a few minutes to perform, depending on the size of the data pulled from the database. There will be a percentage going up to show the progress of the task.
When completed, «Synced» will be displayed.

3. Web Data Connector

Allows you to create web data connectors.

4. Access Keys

Allows you to see the credentials to log onto the database within your BI softwares.

5. Access Logs

Allows you to access the logs to see at what date and time any Access Key has been used and the size of the pull.

Creating a Connector

  • Click on Web Data Connector;
  • Give a name to your new connector;
  • Click on the «+» to search for a form to add to your connector;
  • Click on Select a Form...;
  • Select a form within the list of the forms from your system;
  • Optionally, click on Since.
    This will allow you to choose a date at which you would like to have your data synced from. It is ideal if you have been conducting tests or for similar issues and you want only specific data pulled;
  • Select a date;
  • Click on Create.

The Connectors

1. Name of the Connector

Allows you to see the name of your connector

2. Connector Information

Allows you to see all the information of your connector like tags, form name(s), etc.

3. API Key

Allows you to get the API key for the softwares we are supporting.

4. Preview

Allows you to preview the data that is pulled from your database.

5. Edit

Allows you to edit your connector.

6. Delete

Allows you to delete your connector.

Access Keys

Access keys allow you to have clearance to link your connectors with the software we are supporting.
Access keys are given by the Paperless Support Team.
Clicking on Access Keys allows you to see the access key available for you.
Key is the username and Secret is the password you will be using as credentials to log in.

Connect to Microsoft Power BI

  • Click on the Power BI icon on the connector you wish to link to Microsoft Power BI;
  • Click on the API key to make tu URL appear;
  • Copy the URL to paste it in Microsoft Power BI;

Connect to Qlik Sense

  • Click on the Qlik Sense icon on the connector you wish to link to Qlik Sense;
  • Click on the API key to make tu URL appear;
  • Copy the URL to paste it in Qlik Sense;
  • Follow the instructions to connect to Qlik Sense. (under development)

Connect to Tableau

  • Click on the Tableau icon on the connector you wish to link to Tableau;
  • Click on the API key to make tu URL appear;
  • Copy the URL to paste it in Tableau;
  • Follow the instructions to connect to Tableau. (under development)
