What is a line break?

Line breaks are used to separate text inside multiple controls in Paperless Forms forms for better visibility or better reading.

Line breaks will also appear on the Paperless Forms website when viewing forms, with the same display limitations.


Where to use the line breaks

It is possible to make line breaks at specific places in the forms, but also a specific maximum number of breaks:

2 visible
The others will be placed without a line break to the right of the 2nd line

Column Title

3 visible
The others will be placed without a line break to the right of the 3rd line

Row in Table

1 visible, otherwise unlimited
If there are line breaks, a shadow will be visible to the right of the cell to demonstrate that there is more text in the cell to see

Lists/Matrices

2 for field titles
3 for column titles
Unlimited for values in cells (matrices)

None
