What is the use of this feature?

This feature allows Paperless Forms users, regardless of their role, to add one or more PDF files while filling out a form.

This will allow users to link PDF type files that are specific to the work being done at the time on the form it is linked to.

There is no limit on the number of PDF files you can link to a Paperless Forms form.

Linked PDF files will be available when consulting forms that have them on the Paperless Forms website.

Link a PDF file

  • From a Paperless form, tap the first blue icon, at the top left of the screen, to open the attachments menu;

  • In this menu, press the card with the "+";

  • Select the Add PDF option.

    The other option is the usual "+" option, allowing you to link a form to the current form;

  • Find a PDF file to link to the form.

    On the Windows app, you can search your computer to link the PDF files of your choice.
    On the iPad app, you will be able to look in the Files app, which is Apple's file manager;

  • Once a file is linked, it will be visible in the attachments menu.

It is also possible to link one or more PDF files in the subfolders of your attachments menu.

Remove a PDF file

When you have linked PDF files on a form, as long as you do not leave the form, you can remove them without any issue.

Once you have exited and saved the form, only administrators can remove linked PDF files:

  • From a Paperless form, tap the first blue icon, at the top left of the screen, to open the attachments menu;

  • Tap the "X" in the upper right corner of the PDF file you wish to remove;

  • If you exited the form, you will need to enter administrator's credentials in order to continue.

    If you enter incorrect information, you will get an error message;

  • Once the correct information has been entered, you will get a confirmation message to remove the PDF file from the form.

    Tap on Remove to finish the process.
