When trying to open or refresh your data in Power BI, you may obtain the following error:
MySQL : Authentication to host 'paperless.bi.mysql.database.azure.com' for user 'auth_windows' using method 'authentication_windows_client' failed with message: The connection string may not be right. Please visit portal for references.
This usually means you are not using the correct Data source settings. You can change that by following these steps:
1) Start Power BI and open your dashboard (.pbix file) and Click on File
2) Click Options and settings
3) Click on Data source settings
4) Click on Edit Permissions
5) Click on Edit (Credentials Section)
6) Make sure you select Database in the left column and enter your username and password (you can find the connection information under the BI Settings section of the Paperless website.
